GlicRx provides a free discount card that saves people up to $95* off brand and generic medications. It provides a huge relief for people who don't have prescription coverage, are underinsured or who have high co-pays.
- Best use cases for this card:
- Currently have no medical/Medicare insurance plan
- Have a medical/Medicare insurance plan but the medication you are purchasing is not in the formulary
- Have a high deductible medical/Medicare insurance plan (or in the Medicare "donut hole") so this card may be less expensive to use (NOTE: None of the charges using this card will count toward your insurance deductibles)
- NOTE: You can NOT use both your insurance plan and this card, you can only use one. Your pharmacy can run both costs to see which one is cheaper.
- What is GlicRx? GlicRx is a free prescription discount program that helps users nationwide find the lowest prices on prescriptions at almost 35,000 pharmacies using the GlicRx discount card and/or mobile app. At Glic Health LLC, they believe that everyone should have access to the lowest prices available for their medications, regardless of whether they have insurance or Medicare. The GlicRx program helps users save up to $95 on prescriptions. The range of prescription discounts provided under this discount program will vary depending on the prescription and pharmacy where the prescription is purchased. GlicRx is not insurance. It is also not a Medicare prescription drug plan.
